Quotes Gite la Nougayrede was the perfect place for us to discover the beautiful Dordogne/Lot region of France. In all directions, within easy driving distances, there were so many places of interest to visit. We went exploring to a different place every day for 2 weeks we still couldn't cover all of them. Canoeing 14 kilometres down the Dordogne river, passing awesome castles and amongst stunning scenery is an experience not to be missed. We returned each evening to the homely, comfortable gite to put up our feet and relax. The outside space was great for eating or sunbathing on the terrace with lots of grassy area for children to run around and play. La Nougayrede had everything anyone could need. Claire and Simon are the perfect non intrusive hosts - very welcoming, friendly and accommodating whilst most of the time being almost invisible. We would certainly recommend Gite la Nougayrede to family and friends. Quotes

Quotes We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Simon & Claires lovely gite. The place was very clean and tidy and extremely well-equipped. All the rooms are spacious yet cosy and comfortable, and whilst we didn't spend a lot of time in the kitchen and living room, had the weather been bad, these areas wouldn't have felt cramped or uncomfortable. Claire & Simon are great hosts, incredibly helpful and full of knowledge about the local area. We had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a typical french holiday in a fantastic part of the country. Thank you Simon & Claire Quotes

Quotes I stayed at the Gite as part of a French Cake Breaks Holiday , Claire was our hostess . The accommodation is simple and comfortable , my first impression was shabby chic , the bedroom furniture didn't match .... It lent a warm and homely feeling . The bedroom ,large living area kitchen and bathroom where exceptionally clean and remained the same all week. The bathroom door lock stopped working , Claire was informed and within a few hours it was fixed . The grounds of the Gite where accessible to wander around and enjoy the views across the fields. Quotes Claire and Simon are fantastic. What they have achieved is a cosy home from home. Nothing was too much trouble. We needed more light in the kitchen and by the end of the day it was there - 2 more strip lights . We could leave a light on in the kitchen all night, so that if we got up in the night we could see where we were going. Claire s cooking was outstanding, and if you have allergies she would cook anything to accommodate them. Home made walnut bread, Soups,Thai vegetable curry, Onion Tart (no soggy bottom) Amazing! Then the desserts !!!! Thank goodness everything stretched. Sun loungers are set out in the garden with beautiful views and table and chairs on the patio. At night the stunning sunset are a must to see and photograph. You can pick figs from the tree and collect walnuts (when in season) by the bucket load. The local Sarlat food market is fab with great eateries galore and great shops to browse in. A perfect place to stay and would highly recommend it. Quotes

Quotes I cannot recommend the gite highly enough. It really is home from home. The location is peaceful with only the odd car sound to remind you there are others around. The surrounding open space provides peace and tranquility and a total escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. For the perfect escape book Gite La Nougayrede Quotes

Quotes Loved Loved Loved our break in France and our stay at Claire & Simons Gite. It is set in beautiful countryside and lovely land-we even had the bonus of a horse in stables next to us much to my daughters delight!! The Gite is immaculately clean, a lovely size with 4 bedrooms, great kitchen and eating area and fab lounge area with a TV-the views are beautiful and we couldnt have asked for anything else during our stay. Claire & Simon were great in making sure we had everything we needed and offering any advice on the area. Cant wait to go back again!!! Quotes

Quotes My family and I spent a very pleasant time staying with Claire and Simon at their B&B. The Dordogne is a beautiful area, with medieval villages to explore, street markets to browse round and canoeing, which is a must even if you've never done it before. Don't forget to take some polo mints with you for Derry (Claire's horse). He loves them. We were made to feel very welcome as I'm sure you will be too should you be lucky enough to find yourself there. Quotes

Quotes We loved our stay! The accommodation was cosy, comfortable and very spacious. We epecially liked the common room that allowed us a space in which to read and play games without that feeling of being 'confined to quarters'. The hosts are charming and their appreciation of the area's attributes made it easy to make the most of our time. We will be back! Quotes
